How to delete your account on customerly
Learn how to delete your Customerly account by leaving or deleting associated projects. Understand the step-by-step process, what happens to your data, and the importance of this irreversible action.
Deleting your Customerly account is a straightforward process, but it requires addressing any projects associated with your account beforehand. Follow this guide to ensure the deletion is completed smoothly.
Step 1: Address associated projects
Your Customerly account is linked to one or more projects.
Before deleting your account, you must:
1. Leave existing projects: If you are not the Master Admin, you must leave all projects you are a part of.
2. Delete existing projects: If you are the Admin or Master Admin of any projects, these must be deleted.
Refer to our project deletion tutorial for detailed steps on removing a project.
Only after all projects have been resolved (either left or deleted) can you proceed with account deletion.
Step 2: Proceed with account deletion
Once all linked projects have been addressed, you will be presented with the option to delete your account.
Select the Delete this Account permanently option.
Step 3: Confirm deletion
During the account deletion process, you will be required to confirm your intent to delete the account another time.
This is to ensure that the deletion is intentional and understood to be irreversible.
What happens after deletion?
Once your account is deleted:
• All data associated with the account is permanently erased.
• No information can be recovered after the deletion process.
• Access logs are retained for compliance with GDPR regulations but do not contain account information.
Important considerations
‼️ Irreversible action: Account deletion cannot be undone. Ensure you no longer need access to your projects or data before proceeding.
‼️ Backup any necessary data: If there is information you wish to retain, download or save it prior to deletion.
By following the steps above, you can ensure a smooth and complete deletion of your Customerly account.
