Deleting contacts in bulk in Customerly is a simple process that helps you manage your contact list efficiently. Follow these steps to remove multiple contacts at once:

Create a List of Contacts to Delete

  1. Go to the Contacts section in your Customerly dashboard.

  2. Click on Filters to create a new filtered contact list.

  3. As an example set the First Seen At property to is Set to define the contacts you want to remove.

Save and Name the List

  1. Once you have applied the filter, click Save List.

  2. Give the list a recognizable name, such as “Contacts to be deleted,” so you can easily identify it later.

Delete the Contacts

  1. Open the saved list from your Lists section.

  2. Click on the three dots (⋮) menu at the top-right corner.

  3. Select Delete to remove the list along with all the contacts it contains.

Important Considerations

  • This action is irreversible – once deleted, contacts cannot be recovered.

  • All conversations associated with deleted contacts will also be removed, so ensure that you no longer need the data before proceeding.

  • If you only want to segment your contacts rather than delete them, consider using other filters based on events, companies or campaigns.
