Canceling Your Subscription

Important: Subscription cancellation deletes your project

Your subscription is directly tied to your project — the two aren't separate. This means canceling your subscription also deletes your project, and this happens immediately, not at the end of your current billing cycle.

There is currently no option to cancel and keep your project active until your paid period expires. Once you cancel, access ends right away.

How to cancel

  1. Go to Project Settings

  2. Click Billing

  3. Select Subscription

  4. Click Cancel Subscription

Clicking this button starts the process of deleting your project, along with all associated data — team members, help center content, conversations, and settings.

Before you cancel

If you're canceling because you no longer need certain features rather than wanting to stop using Customerly entirely, consider these alternatives first:

  • Downgrade your plan instead of canceling, via Change Plan in the same Billing > Subscription section

  • Remove paid extras you're not using to lower your monthly cost

  • Reach out to support if you're unsure what happens to your data — we can walk you through what will be lost before you proceed

Key takeaways

  • Subscription and project are linked as a single unit — you cannot cancel one without the other

  • Cancellation is immediate and irreversible; there's no "active until expiration" grace period

  • If you only want to reduce cost, downgrading your plan is a safer option than canceling
