How To Create An Email Funnel With Customerly

Three things you need to create your first funnel:

  1. A list of contacts. If you donโ€™t have one, check this article on how To Populate Customerly With Your Data.
  2. A new email template.
  3. A series of messages to send.

When you are ready to start, go to Funnel and click on  Create new.



From here you can choose one of our pre-built funnels to use. If you want to create a funnel to onboard your users for example with a series of emails and check if they completed a specific action, select the first template.



Now you will have the visual builder showing you the series of actions in this funnel. From here, you will need to choose the audience that is going to be inserted automatically here every time they satisfy the entry point condition.


Click on the Entry point action with the All-New Users name. 

This will open the right section to choose the Entry point conditions. To create your own audience please refer to this article: Build your custom audience



Once you have created your own audience, let's proceed with the first email they will receive immediately after they entered in this funnel.

Click on the email below the Entry point as shown below and click on the change template button if you wish to change the main template.



Discard the main template to proceed.



If you have a template, you will find it here to be selected and used in this funnel.


Once you select a template to work with, click on Customize Template as shown below.



When you have customized your template with the content you want to deliver via email click on the top-right icon to save the email.


If you want to add another action such us Wait with condition, scroll down on your left sidebar and click on it.

This will appear at the bottom of your funnel, now connect it to an existing action by dragging a connection line between the bottom dot to the top dot of the new action.


If you want to customize the behavior of the new action click on it and add the rules you want. 

In this case, for example, the "wait with condition" action is useful to check if the user or lead has completed a specific action in your platform or have clicked on a previous email.

Once you have completed your funnel flow, continue by clicking on the top right button.

From this view, insert an internal name for your funnel. 

Select who will be the sender for your messages and who is going to receive the replies. 

For example, if you are building a funnel where the sales team has to be notified in case of a reply, select your sales team there.

If you want to run your funnel continuously then click on All Week. Otherwise, limit it to specific days.

When you are ready, save as draft or publish it.

P.s. Remember that funnels can take up to 15 minutes to execute actions.
